GREEN SPACES PLAN

ARTIST’S IMPRESSION – focal green space and buildings on Dog Kennel Lane

New homes will be set within a network of high quality green spaces. The existing field structure and network of trees and hedgerows will be used to create character, supported by new planting and landscaping.

The existing bridleway and public rights of way will form key green corridors for recreation and wildlife.

NATURAL PLAY

A range of play areas are provided in the scheme for children of different ages, including two local equipped areas for play, and woodland play-on-the-way along green routes and paths throughout the scheme.

WILDLIFE HABITATS FOR BIODIVERSITY

A new robust and defensible Green Belt boundary is to be established to the south of the site, including new woodland blocks, grassland and orchard trees.

The masterplan includes a range of habitats for local wildlife, informed by a comprehensive suite of ecology surveys, and will deliver a ‘net gain’ in biodiversity.
